"This place is amazing! Drive up from Wells, watching out for it on your left, or
down the coast from Hunstanton looking out on your right, and there it is - a Swiss
style wooden shed. The fish shed. Don't worry - there's a sign to help you!
As if you'd mistake it, anyway. A vast array of herbs and fresh vegetables surround
the doorway, and upon entering there's an amazing quantity of fresh fish, both local
and slightly more exotic. Other local delicacies abound - quail's eggs, hares, fresh-baked
bread - the fish shed is a whole lot more than just fish and well worth a visit!"

Situated in Brancaster Staithe, almost opposite The White Horse, The Fish Shed is on the main coastal road (A149)from Hunstanton to Cromer.
The Fish Shed has been in part of Brancaster Staithe for almost 22 years. Opening in 1989, the owners, Mr and Mrs Bocking, started business using their own fridge in their kitchen using only a box of fish .
The Fish Shed name was created after they converted the shed behind the house to make the shop.
In the last 20 years we have seen many changes to the Fish Shed. Once only a fresh
fish shop, The Fish Shed soon grew to include much more, catering for their customers wherever they could.
In 2004 The Fish Shed outgrew its position in the shed and was moved next door to a larger shed and in April 2010 it has just completed a remodel improving the size and working area of the shop.
It now sells just about everything from Fish (of course) to china dishes sent over from Australia, handmade sushi, the homemade products it’s famous for (in house smoked salmon, fish pies, pates and fish cakes etc) and all local faire such as fruit, veg, game and shellfish, sold fresh in season only.
