FRESH SAMPHIRE!

This local delicious summertime treat is a type of seaweed and unfortunately  only around for a few weeks of the year, but is well worth the wait!

Trim the roots, rinse and then boil for about 10 minutes. When cooked the green  should slide right off the stalk. Eat like asparagus with butter or like a local with black pepper and malt vinegar. Samphire is a must try and great as a starter with brown bread and butter.
